Foreign Volunteers Japan – Projects

Discussing the Various FVJ Projects

  1. Dear Sir/Madam

I am Joshua Chiamba, founder of RUDEC-Rural Development Centre Cameroon. I got your contact information after reading through FVJ website.

RUDEC (Rural Development Center, Cameroon) is a non-profit organization that is registered with the Government of Cameroon since 2006 and worked with various groups and individuals through programs such as beekeeping, market-oriented gardening, destitute or orphaned children, the youth guinea pig program,Volunteer teaching, microcredit for women empowerment and a community health or public health initiative.

RUDEC Cameroon envisions a society wherein every individual has the opportunity to grow and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the community. We endeavor to achieve our goals through activities that promote sustainable development of the community in Belo, Cameroon. These activities involve strong participation from local community members with the guidance and valuable assistance of RUDEC and its volunteers.

RUDEC needs both skilled and unskilled volunteers. Some example areas of volunteer work are: accounting, bookkeeping, sustainable agriculture practices, organic vegetable gardening techniques, school lesson planning, grant writing, community organizing, first-aid,childcare, program development and evaluation, and sustainable development management.

Do you have any insights into how RUDEC could host volunteers from FVJ? Would you be willing to post our volunteer opportunities in your department? You can also see more of what we do at http://www.rudec.org.
